Practical details Events at Zandvoort

1. Outward journey

The track of Zandvoort is situated at an hour and a half from Antwerp, at the following address :

Circuit Park Zandvoort

Burg. van Alphenstraat 108

2041 KP ZANDVOORT

NEDERLAND

On our website there is a description of this legendary track that exists since 1948 and where over 30 F1 races took place.

A lot of interesting photo- and video-material can be found here.

With the controllable live webcam, you can check out the local weather at this moment.

Zandvoort is a picturesque village near the sea and the beach and Amsterdam is just 30 km away. Ideal for a stay before or after the event (or during for wife and kids).

There is a predefined Routeplanner to Zandvoort on our "Tracks"-page (then click on the red marker of Zandvoort, and on the pop-up appears "To here").
Do try the zoom function on this page. Then, on the upper right-hand side, choose "Kaart" or "Satelliet". If you choose "Satelliet" then you will get a very clear aerial photograph of the track.

2. (Possible) Lodging & Pitbox(es)

An overview of the lodiging possibilities can be found here.

The gate of the paddock is open until at least 8PM and usually even until 9PM. Sometimes even (much) later, but the track does not give an exact "time of closure", not even after an explicit question.

At the parking in front of the paddock (on the other side of the gate) there is a lot of place, and electricity.

A pitbox can be rented on the spot at 100 € per day, from the evening before at 7PM until about 8PM(sometimes longer, but the track canot - and will not - guarantee it...).

3. Administrative Formalities

a. Enrolments - Media Center

From 07.30AM until 08.20AM at the Media Center, or possibly in a pitbox that will be indicated on the spot.

(do not forget : ID-card & fully completed and signed waiver of liability)

Download, print, complete and sign it at home and bring it to the track. That way, you gain a lot of time on the spot.
    • receive bracelet in group-colour & sticker with n° for motorcycle

b. Technical Inspection - Pitbox 25

Mandatory (!) technical inspection from 7.45AM until 8.15AM. The technical state of the motorcycle will be verified:
  • Brakes, tyres, oil leakages , i.a. crank case and front suspension
  • Noise : attention ! There is a (strict) noise limit of 95 dB at Zandvoort. Only original exhausts or exhausts with a dB-killer can respect this norm !
  • Equipment : boots, leather gloves, perfectly fitting full face helmet, back protector are mandatory (one piece suit recommended). If the leather suit is a two-piece suit, both parts must be fitted together with a zipper.

4. General Briefing & Theory

The briefings are mandatory for your own safety and the safety of the others

Tip : participate to these briefings in race outfit and have your motorcycle ready before the beginning of the briefing. Almost immediately afterwards, the track-sessions will start.

  • Group 1 - Beginner - Ridersbriefing & Theory at 9.00AM at the Media Center
  • Group 2 - Rookie - Ridersbriefing & Theory at 8.30AM at the Media Center
  • Group 3 - Expert - Ridersbriefing at 9.00AM in the Pitlane
  • Group 4 - Pro - Ridersbriefing at 8.50AM in the Pitlane

Procedure before the start of every session

You have to be in the pitlane 10' before the start of every session (20' before the start of the first session), where you can take place in one of about 4 rows behind an instructor. For the Pro's and the Experts, there will always be one lap behind an instructor.

5. Time schedule

  • Group 2 = Rookie

  • Group 3 = Expert

  • Group 4 = Pro

6. Tyre service & Gas

Mounting your own tyre on your wheel that you mount yourself will cost 7,5 €.
  • No working gasstation in the paddock.
Filling up can be done outside the track. A jerrycan can be useful... ;-)

8. Pictures

Normally, there will always be a photographer present.
