Challenging with a lot of character !

Of all tracks in Great-Brittain, the very sloping Brands Hatch is probably the one with the most character of them all.

The track can be used in 2 configurations : the smaller "Indy" track, or the renowned, very expensive "GP" track, of which the "Indy" track is a part of.

The Indy-part of the track forms a natural amphitheatre.

It offers an unequalled view on the action to the spectators.

The GP track is one of the most challenging tracks of whole England.

The list of names of the different competitions that took place and/or still take place every year, is equally very impressive.

A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, World Superbikes, WTCC (World Touring Cars Championship), DTM (Deutsche Tourwagenmeisterschaft), BTCC (Britisch Touring Car Championship), BSB (British Superbikes), British F3, British GT, the Truck Superprix, etc.

History, short

There was already a race track @ Brands in 1926! It concerned a track for "grass track bike racing". In those days, they drove counter-clockwise. In 1954, the driving direction was changed to clockwise.

The heritage of Brands is enormous.

Almost alle the famous pilots of the last 50 years have been racing there and won: Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Barry Sheene, Jack Brabham, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Jenson Button, etc.

The race @ Brands, counting for the World Championship Superbike, has become a yearly pilgrimage for motorcycle fanatics from over the whole world. The unique combination of "dips", on- and off-cambers, challenging turns and enormous slopes keep making it one of the favourite race tracks of the world !

The GP-version of the track is outrageously expensive, but every track racer should have raced there once !
